So I havent filled the newish 01 f4i tank i recently bought full yet

im a king of rolln on 2 dolla's.. so anyways my tank is a lil beat up & dented-

So i filled it up full.. and was curious to how playing with BP will be on a full tank as I almost never have that chance


I look down.. and in the corner by my crotch.. my primer was running...

Small crack..... so now i got gas crotch

Iv never ever- had to fix a hole in a tank.. except for a old cruiser tank.. and i had to cream the tank anyways so- i could weld it.. and did..


WTF - How do I fix this crack? will filler work? Jb weld ?

Which should I do..

don't jb weld it!

gas eats jb weld, 2-4 months and jb weld will get gummy and leak again

If it's a crack, have it brazed shut or welded shut

Use JB Weld "Water Weld" its for all fuel tanks with a lifetime gaurentee to not "releak" in that spot.. I have the waterweld on my tank and have for almost 2 yrs n still no sign of it eatin away

everybodys getting gas *** these days wtf? necessity is the mother of all invention. need to invent a plastic stunt anti gas *** athletic supporter. give it a catchy name and start selling it for 200 bucks.

I've tried water weld, I"Ve tried jb weld, I've had friends try both

Best bet if you want to have a nice looking tank and spend money painting it, just to have it properly brazed shut (can even braze or weld yourself) just don't blow yourself up doing it!

If you want to 'get by' and just bomb it with paint then do what you want, but **** spending $6 on sealing your tank to spend big bucks painting it, to just have it fail

gas **** is a catchy name, I lke it.

pretty sure the rule is if zip ties don't work, and they really wouldn't here, jb weld and a sticker will. then when it fails, you just pretend AXE made a new scent for *****, called "petrol" and see if the chicks try and handle your junk more now that it smells high performance.

I used jb weld under my nicely smoothed out tank....got it all painted then one day the damn bondo just falls off big *** chunks to.metal filler works good.....never had a prob with it
