Chains must read

ok soo i got some new sprockets with 525 pitch and the only chain we could find was a ek zzz 150 link chrome chain for $250 so if you wanna save some cash do the 520 or 530 swap cuz 250 for a chain is ******* crazy but hay my bike looks pimp and the chain wont rust

Re: Chains must read

You hate "ghetto rigs" but you stunt? hmmmmmm,so are you tellin me you don't have a single zip tie or jb weld holdin **** together on your bike, stuntin and riggin **** together just so you can finish a good session goes hand in handAlso, myself and many others have run 2 chains linked with no problems, next time you should try it,you'll be happy with all the $ you saved.

$250 for a chain? you must be smoking crack. how is that "the only one you could find" ?
525 is not a rare chain size. parts guy mustof pulled a fast one on you and raped you with some good lube.

Re: Chains must read

I've oerdered new chains 525 that need to be over the standard 120 link and the guy sent along a stripe of xtra links. I just bought 1 xtra clip master and cut it down to size. Motoheavan.com for chains and sprockets.

Re: Chains must read

i understand yur frustration. 525 are stock on many bikes but for some reason they are getting harder to purchase aftermarket. You can still get them. mainly in gold or chrome and hard to find in just silver. RK used t make it and I bought it...now its unavailable. EK got em but your right....its gonna cost probably over 150.00....Its crazy I dont know why that size is so hard to get.....look alll over the net and its 520's and 530's all day long but not many choices in 525. I am not into the gold chains....chrome is ok but prefer the silver chains. And I try to go up in tensile strength/cc compatibility to gain chain strength....anyway....blah blah blah

Re: Chains must read

i sell them all the time and the ek zzz is the only one that you can get from parts unlimited or tucker rocky in 525 over 120 links, but the zzz is a bad *** chain though. i had it on my zx10 and it took tons of drag racing and hard clutching burnouts on the street. but 530 is way cheaper if its over 120 links.
