Re: custom cage

Looks fairly good to me. Not as TANK as my custom cage, but looks lighter and easier to mount as well.

nothing wrong with a custom cage.. But for a popular bike like a 600rr, I'd just buy a production cage.....

I'd only go custom if either there aren't many options for your bike, or if you have your own tools to do it GOOD for real cheap...
thats what i did. i got a race rail, with an extra bar. solid as ****.. for free.

Re: custom cage

im goin to build my own. i didnt think it was a big deal. i dont wanna spend $350 for a cage i can make in my shop. doesnt make sence to me to send that when i can make it for about 20 bucks. just m opinion. plus i dont like to have the exact same thing aseveryone else. NICE TO BE DIFFERENT!!

Re: custom cage

A lot of people are running custom cages... including me. So is it really being different?

Just make sure you study the design of good cages so you don't make a ashitty one that snaps your frame or motor mounts

Re: custom cage

I'm still wondering if this mount is bolted up, and if so, how

IMO if it's not bolted, then that extra support is completely worthless, and you pretty much just have sliders on the bike linking each side together.. Couple good drops and good by motor mounts
If it is bolted up, then you should be good to go, should be a decent little cage

Re: custom cage

i had roman make me a cage of my 05 rr it is better then any cage on the market for sure and run the sliders that way if it does fall it wont bend the piping in. they take abuse for sure. you dont need a bunch of bars to protect your bike all you need is quality workmanship
