they are on the bike right now. just they fit perfectr on the top triple but the lower if you look at at the 954/ gsxr forks they are 50mm at the top but for the lower triple they are a lil bigger. so there is a gap. i am considering shimming the forks but don't seem safe.

Re: r6 triples on 600rr

see gage if you would have worded this write you wouldnt have all these wrong answers....

look gage has an 04 600rr with 954 triples cause he had a 98 gsxr 750 front end .. now he has 07 r6 front end and it lides in to both triples but the lower has a gap around it . ive heard of poeple using sheet metal (soda cans) to shimm the gas ?

Re: r6 triples on 600rr

coke cans lmao, why not try the yamaha lower tripple or even the gsxr 1000 lower tripple. coke can shimming doesnt seem very safe lol. i think it was ***** saying james put a 636 frontend on a 600RR with 954 tripples and had to shim the bottom with coke cans lol.

sick trick rick from cix has a newer r6 frontend on his 05-06 636. Im pretty sure he used stock 636 triples and the forks rim and brakes off the r6

listen, u cant mix a yamaha and honda triple like that guy was suggesting. if you want it to work the best triple setup to go with is the 1000rr triples with the r6 tubes wheel etc .
it fits, and works but the actual spacing of the r6 and hondas 50mm triples are a little off.

see now that doesnt make any sense to me, you can use 1000rr tripples on a 929 front end or 1000rr forks on 929 tripples. so if the r6 forks dont fit in the 929 lower tripple why would they work in the 1000rr lower?

if the yamaha tripple doesnt end up working for some reason i would get somthing other than coke cans to do the spacing.
