Options on No cut protection for F4i?
Wasn't sure if it should go here or in the general, kinda new here, anyway I know alot of people dont like the no cut frame sliders for the f4i, call me a wus but my bike is in pretty good shape and I really dont want to punch a hole in the fairings right now. Right now I am looking at like the no cut T-Rex sliders or some kind of race rail. I really like the Powers race rail but you still have to cut. I would really like to find something that is the same design as the Powers rail but uses the no cut slider mount. Im decent with a welder and am thinking about buying a set of no cut slider mounts and making a race rail that goes back and mounts to the frame like the Powers does but goes like a few inches forward more and mounts to the no cut slider mount if that makes since, I know its not as good as a crash cage or a regualr slider but If I crash at high speed, Im sure its gonna be fucked no matter what u have on there, Im thinking of things like, someone knocks your bike over, u wipe out in some lose gravel, **** like that. Thoughts?

dont get me wrong cuz i keep my bike pretty but really, youre gonna have that much of a fit about cutting a hole in ur plastic that will look perfectly natural? u do know that running frame sliders is pretty much worthless? i mean if u tip ur bike over its gonna scratch your plastics anyway cuz frame sliders dont protect ****. as for race rails well your gonna scratch your case covers/if not brake them and most likely scratch the sides of your tail and upper depending on the fall. if ur gonna stunt get a cage. if ur not gonna stunt i dont really know what youre doing on here?

yep, even rails dont really protect a whole lot, like rear sets.......slidlers dont do anthing, unless u get those 6 or 7 inch long ones.....but a cage is the only way to really protect a bike......if u wanna stunt i wouldnt b worring about a fairing whole... anyways......even if u do cut a whole for a slider....ur sliders going in there so no one will see like a gapping whole anyway

take the fairings off, keep them in your bedroom, cuddle with them at night or something.
then get a cage cause sliders are pointless, and clutch some up

yea it was just a thought i wanted some feedback on. The reason I was thinking about going the no cut route is because I was talking to a friend about keeping the bike mint and hes like even if you cut the holes and repaint the fairings and put the decals on and make it look stock, u still have those holes there. So I got thinking about the no cut options, and there really isnt any, looks like ill just be cutting some holes. no biggie.

just get another set a fairings anc cut em and keep your stock ones minty if its that big of a deal. If your learning to stunt the bikes not gonna stay minty anyways side fairings or not. You can find some used plastics fairly cheap.
