friend wrecked my bike

Re: friend wrecked my bike
I do illegal **** on the road
I however don't ride a untitled bike, or let people ride my bike that aren't licensed. And I don't get worried about my bike when friends do wreck it, I hope they fix basic ****, but not worried to about it
edit: also if I did own a bike with no title, no insurance, and I let a friend borrow it, I wouldn't be the LEAST bit surprised when they didn't stop for the cops.
Hell in fact, I"d tell them specifically "better not stop!" lol

Re: friend wrecked my bike
I'm not saying his friend shouldn't pay for anything. But if his friend doesn't pay for it, what is the thread creator REALLY gonna do about it?
I'm just stating he is an idiot for letting a friend ride a 'minty' bike illegally on the road, KNOWING he is most likely to run..
And the fact his post made it seem like he is way more worried about the bike then his friend. And if your worried about your bike soo much, then why the **** would you loan it to someone in the first place, AND without insurance.
Either way you look at it, it shouldn't have been on the road illegally. Owner shouldn't have loaned it out knowingly letting it be rode on the street. He should have had insurance if this bike was soo minty, that way borrower could pay the deductible, and everything would be fine.
Going for your 'friends' throat first thing when he gets out of the hospital is fucked IMO, and really makes me ask the question "how good of a friend is he"
I'm sure when he gets out of the hospital, all bandaged up, in pain, wondering how much jail time/probation he is looking at for felony evasion, how he is gonna cover his 10 grand in medical, hes gonna be thinkin "damn can't wait tell I can get back to work to fix my friends bike!"

My boy that just borrowed my bike ripped several whoolies up and down my street, while both of us know it's not road legal AND it has no insurance. Would I have felt at fault if he got ticketed or wrecked....NO. He knew what was up, and would've taken care of business.

Re: friend wrecked my bike
Thread creator can't do ****. It's a friendship thing. Everything you're saying could be said from the borrowers point of view, also. Borrower took a big risk riding an illegal bike on the road, knowing that he likes to run........it may be a bad decision, but he made it anyway. They both made bad choices, but it comes down to fault......and yes, the borrower is at fault no matter how you look at it...

Re: friend wrecked my bike
you would be correct my friend.. but it never mattered to me with taht zx-6 or this bike.. i took it on a 2 n half hour trip last weekend n never really thought bout it.. if you don't have a cop behind you n are not goin excessivly over the speed limit, he has no reason to pull me over.. i cant believe all these so called stunters in here are callin me a risk taker haha.. its just ridin with no insurance or tag.. they do tank spreaders n highchairs on the interstate n call me a risk taker haha..

Re: friend wrecked my bike
Insurance at 17 years old, with 2 no insurance tickets on my record, and one not at fault ticket on my record, never had insurance on any vehicle before, $360 a year liability first year, $240 second year
But you do'nt even need liability in florida? That's nuts.. What happens if you hit a car? They just sue you and take everything you own?

Re: friend wrecked my bike
cause justification enough for me to insure my bike right there. not that I aim for cars... but **** can and will happen. gonna look into insuring the stunt bike soon too.
