Re: footwear ?

I hate riding in my DC's they just dont feel right, I usually wear my etnies or my DVS's preferably the etnies cause i've been riding in them for 3 years now and still on the same pair. They last for EVER!!!!!! And i personally dont see what all the comotion about ankle support is. If your not gonna break your ankle its just gonna move up and you'll break your leg, its kinda a lose lose in my mind. If you screwed up to break something your gonna break something regardless if you have ankle protection or not, it just might break in a different spot. (shrugg)

Re: footwear ?

As I sit here on the couch now for the past three weekends unablt to ride due to a heel injury, I can't help but to laugh. See I'm a firm believer in gear. Helmet, Jacket, Gloves, Long pants and Sidi boots every time I ride. But since I've been stunt riding, I always wear a pair of VANS slip on's and I loved them. You get so much feel out of them it's like wearing socks. I loved them until the day I hurt my heel. Looped out practicing in the lot and when I jumped off the bike I landed on my right heel and it felt, as if I was just wearing socks. I thought for certain that I had broke it. Three weeks later and I just can now put weight on my heel. Spent 6hrs in the ER and 1500.00 because I'm in between contracts at work and insurance didn't want to hear it. Lesson learned, Vans, DC, Puma, etc. may feel good and look cool but don't do **** for protection. Not even simple falls. I bet I have a pair of these on the next time I hit the lots
