I recently put a new used motor in my bike, the motor runs great and i've had it in the last 3 weeks. I changed all fluids after installing the motor. Yesterday i was riding just in my town cruisin' around and i came to a stop light and a white steam/ smoke was comin' out of my clean air mod filter. So i pulled over and it stopped. I then decided to ride home and check it out and what not. Well when i was coming home it looked like a little oil was coming out of the clean air mod filter, well when i got home i smelled it and it smelled like gasonline and oil. So therefor this leads to my problem... what would be wrong with the bike if somehow gas was gettin into my oil. I was thinking it might possibly be a seal, but what the hell do i know.

If you guys could help me out that be pretty sweet.

so is the smoke actually leaking out of the air mod?? could u post a pic of the top of the motor/mod?

 

Here is the pic the filter for the clean air mod, and then the tube goes to the oil case. Replacing the line from the air box to oil case.

 

what the hell is that filter you are supposed to run that line from the crank case to the "T" valve

 

that might be your prob.....take that filter off and conect it to the back line (run it in a loop), thats how mines setup....try that and c what happens. take the tank off and put up a pick of the top of the motor without the airbox on

 

correct me if im wrong i think ur oil is breathing way to much with that filter....so that could be why its shooting out of there...

 

Well that filter was on the motor when i got the motor. So explain it again... take it off and run it to the back line, where is that at? And would this solve the problem of my oil smelling like gas?

I hate working on bikes.

 

the clean air mod has nothing to do with a filter its literally not a clean air filter lol its to get rid of the emitions and to STOP the bog lol run a line from the crank case to the emitions valve get rid of that and put a T in the middle also run the new crank case hose to that T and cap of the lines that the valve went to.

 

+1.....pretty much take that damn filter off and run that line to the case line....ill try and find u a thread man....

i cant find one.....but if u have trouble take a top view pic of ur motor with the tank of and i can explain better if you have problems...

but its your crank case is breathing way to much man your injecters are shoot gas into your oil if that kinda makes sence i bet your airbox is not capped and i bet you are getting gas in your crank case maybe im wrong but just my 2

your oil could have gas in it from a few things, head gasket, cracked piston, seized ring... don't think your clean air mod has anything to do with it.. all that does is stop oil from entering your cylinders.. it would smoke white clouds if oil got in them. check your airbox see if theres oil in it.. if not, its not that.
