Yes you can, i have the 08 swingarm and wheel on my 04, you need the shock too.

There's really no point unless u like it, cause it only looks a little different on the right side than the 05-06 swingarm does, but it will fit. If anything i would put the 09 swingarm on cause it looks sick, would sell my 08 swingarm in a sec if i could find one.
