Street cage question

Anybody ever use the 905 racing street cage not the big shin buster cage but the one that looks like the FI cage? I seen the powers race rails but Im skeptical about ordering from them because of the negative feedback. I have a sick cage for my lot bike but Im shopping for the street bike now.

Re: Street cage question

What do you want this cage for?

Stunting? Street cruising? Street stunting? Corners? All around general riding? Or track riding?

If your wanting to stunt, or street stunt, just get a sick innovations or tygershark, or even A-towns custom or impaktek... They all have enough clearance to let you drag peg before hitting cage.

If your wanting to hit a track for track-days, then just get frame sliders, or race railz, you don't need anything more, it would only be dangerous on the track.

No reason to not get a full cage, unless you specifically wont be stunting, and don't plan on ever dropping the bike.

Re: Street cage question

This is my first post, so I hope I don't f*** up... I got a 2009 CBR1000RR that is gonna be my street ride, but I'd like more protection than just sliders. I've looked at almost every big company out there, and I could use a little help with who/what to choose. Rails or cage? Ct or no cut? I have no problem cutting into my plastics for better strength. And I don't wanna scrape when I feel the need to get low... I'm currently in Iraq, but I'll be home for 2 weeks soon, and would like to put it on before I come back here... Thank you for anything you think will help...

Don't go with Powers if you want something you can hit the canyons with, I rode my buddies bike with one and I was scraping making turns in town so be careful.

Yeah I run the 905 Race Armor.....looped a staggard in 1st gear. Was able to pick the bike up and ride it home, although it did have cosmetic damage. Broke both my mirrors, scratched up my upper fairing, gas tank, and tail section. The armor prevented the engine casing from being touched nor did it hurt my rearsets. All in all it's better than having nothing, I only dropped my bike one time learning the basics........so it doesn't hit the ground much, I guess it depends on what you want to use it for.
