F4i Shorty Exhaust?
Morning all
Anyways just here to ask a few questions.
I don't know where to even start to be honest, but what I can say is this -- those R6 style shorty exhaust that peak out the end are sick and even sicker are the ones that point directly at the tire! How in the hell do you do that? what do I need to buy to do this?
I have a stock exhaust if anyone has a shorty one available and I'll trade you straight up.... or add cash if it's needed and worth it. Otherwise if nothing comes up, i'll just follow what you guys tell me and do it myself. I am sure I need to get like a used shorty exhaust already, 07 R6 or something? but they are big...
I run a 3/4 F4i here soon and would like it to come right out and point at my tire... be almost invisible basically. Anyway to keep it nice sounding and not too loud?
Share your recommendations... and thanks.

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
i believe they are called gp exhausts Two Brothers and M4 makes em
a straight mid-pipe should do the trick at far as pointing to the back tire (auto-zone has them but get it welded on)

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
chris L just cut an aftermarket exhaust (about 5 -6", the same one that scott laroc had on his f4i....don't think it is going to be quiet by any means, but it does look tight.. good luck fidning a good deal on one, i would rather just leave it alone if i had an aftermarket one personally..their is alot of waste in that job.

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
I think most bikes that come factory with a motogp style exhaust, also have a catalytic converter, and/or a silencer in the header
You put a motogp exhaust on a f4i, and it's gonna be like running open header

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
i took a carbon d&d and cut it down to about 5 or 6 inches and stuck it on the header, its a loose fit but it will cinch down, i work at a machine shop tho so i made a little collar for it, to make it a tighter fit, its not even that loud. My friends have full slipons that are louder (i dont really know how its possible...)

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
I have a two brothers cut down to about 8 inches. I just made a midpipe that bends and it dumps at an angle right behind the footpeg. Its not any louder than any other slipon.

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
Everyone posts pics of your F4i with your shorty exhaust, and what you had to do... I know I'm one of many F4i riders that love the clean look it brings to the bike.
Thanks in advance.

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
I looked into this in depth as far as the aftermarket goes and I came up with the same thng every time. . .I am poor! The aftermarket stuff like this is exspensive dude! I would try and want to try doing it myself to see if I can make it work and save some green. I like my undertail exhaust, but would rather have it dump out right after my lowers like you described.

Re: F4i Shorty Exhaust?
just get the collar and clamp that comes with the stock r6 pipe. then take some self tapping screws and screw it all together. cheap as hell for everything and it never comes off no matter how hard you mousetrap. it only cost me like 25 bucks total too! haha! i got a brand new can from a local shop for 15 bucks haha
