Some pointers/ analysis of technique wanted ( vids)

http://www.jeepsides.homestead.com/f...t_wheelie1.wmv

this was a couple weeks ago

http://www.jeepsides.homestead.com/f...gh_wheelie.wmv

this was today

So not sure what was happening a while ago cause I wasn't seeing the speedo. But in the 2nd vid the 1st time I looked at the speedo on balance was 18mph then I set it down at 22mph.

I'm only 1 down 2 up. I feel like I need better gearing to go slower. But I want to do everything w/ these gears (right down to 5-10 mph)

What's possible and what should I do to slow it down? force myself by bringing it up higher and braking later etc? I can do coasters on my fiddy but this big bike thing is hard

Your problem is that you are chopping the throttle instead of using the rear brake. Hold the throttle on and tap the rear brake to keep it from looping.

good throttle in the second vid. More brake. My bike is -2 in the front and my friend scrapes better than I do on his 1000 with stock gears. He can stall it he goes so slow. It is all about practice. If this sport were easy every one could do it

okay. that's why it never sounds like on/off throttle when people are rolling wheelies for days. It's just the rear brake bogging the motor a bit huh?

On to question #2. My rear brakes suck *** and always have. Right now it's a stock rotor and ebc pads. even riding on flat ground it's hard as hell to lock them up. What's a good way to go to get the rear dialed better?

thanks.

what's the street scene like in MA now? I grew up in plainville (next to north attleboro) and the dirt scene was sick as hell! Most of my friends back there say it is still. Are many people riding street now?

thanks all. I'm not trying to scrape yet. I'm just trying to transfer my brake control from my fiddy to this big piggy.

The bike is far from mint. it's a 50yard fake out. the frame is bent back and I lost 2" of wheelbase. the plasics are all cracked or cut.

Now I never crashed it. Bought it totalled so I wouldn't cry when I crashed it. 10k miles of hell and I have yet to dump it. (please no jinx )
