Im turning my 97 f3 into a street fighter and im running into a problem. I put on a cyclops light and ran all my wires under the tank. I took it out for a test and when i get into 3rd gear or higher it starts to bog. So i put my gauges back on and it ran perfect. Any one know how I can get the bike to run good without the gauges.

guages have nothing to do with how a bike runs,you must have screwed up something else,it's an f3, so you wont have fuel injection issues with a ton of sensors n ****,check for spark,etc. etc.but many people run no gauges with no problems.

Its the gauges cause when they are off it runs like crap and when i put them on it runs great.

must be a wiring issue then, cant be the gauges can it?

ground the pink wire. it sends a signal over 12mph or whatever thats taken from the speed sensor to a solenoid and causes your bike to run like poo.

it might not be the gauges. i also had an f3 that was streetfightered with the same headlight and it also kept bogging it would completely bog out in 3rd. so i cleaned the carbs etc but no one could give me a reason why it kept bogging so i said **** it and sold it but the guy i sold it to races f3's and said the reason it was bogging was because of the ram air tubes. the person before me had just cut the ends of the hoses so it wasn't getting the right air ratio which lead to it bogging and running like ****.
