Re: leaking gas cap fix?

OMR? I'm looking at your pic and thinking that the small vent hole might be allowing gas to come from inside the tank and under my base then leaking out. All while in a wheelie. I'm still having issues, I'm sure I have the correct gasket and I just can't figure out the source of the problem and I think that may be it. Let me know what you think.

Re: leaking gas cap fix?

Its not the gasket. Its the vent hole. gas is leaking from the vent hole and under the base then it just runs down the tank and all over me and the bike. So frustrating. Just wondering if sealing that hole would be a good idea? I did some reading and I think the vent might not be needed since I read that there are vent hoses for that?

the "seal all" brand is made to resist gas and other petroluem bases so it should last quite a long time.

+1

If it does ever start to leak again u take that **** out and redo it!

It's not like it's much work..

mitc31089, Just fill the hole base with silicone or seal all!! Sealing that hole is fine.
