the throttle on my 04 gxr is real choppy, like a on or off, no real smoothness to it. any ideas? came off a 1000 v twin so i understand the twitchy throttle thing, but this is real tough to use, even down the road. and it seems to be somewhat intermittin rode it the other night and it was fine, smooth, and today it was real bad. the tps wasnt letting the flappers open up so i wired them open, but that was a while ago and it just been bad lately..

does it still have the exhaust butterfly down in the mid pipe???

 

****, didnt know it had one, ill check today. should i remove it if it is there? im using stock sprockets right now, but i got a 15/62 kit on the way, but i dont think gearing is gonna help the iratic-ness..?

 

Gearing will make it choppier!


Try to use a gsxr 600 throttle tube or if the f4i throttle tube will work use that. Besides that just learn to hold the throttle steady..
