on my 06 cbr600rr i put the idle up about 4200rmp.. then i just grib it and rip it...its a weird feeling but as long a your have rear brake control..you should be good...and lots of time practicing

huh? soooo ur saying that he shouldnt be covering the brake? or that he should go by a handbrake setup before he ever get his front tire off the ground......

You just got to quit making excuses. RR's have a very strong idle and are very smooth bikes once you get used to them. You just need to practice more. You don't need more gearing, more handbrake, just more practice. Place the idle around 2.5-3k to learn and work on being smooth with the brake. That's it. I have a video on youtube with -1 +1 when I was learning for proof.
