Which spine protector?

I need to know who here has seriously slammed down onto their back, maybe from a Highchair type trick or anything just slamming that had a protector on. Im getting one and wanted to know which has the most cushion for impact. Thankyouallsoverymuch.

Re: Which spine protector?

I flipped back with my Icon back protector and it did help i gotta say it felt comfortable lol... But I got myself that Alpinestar protector last year, which has a killer back protector , longer than the Icon, and elbow, shoulder and chest protectors as well... well worth it, i feel more comfortable riding with that, cause I did fall again with the ICON but what good is the back protector if your arms and elbows are all scratched up... get the Alpinestar its around $200-220, the ICON is $100 big diff but better protection from Alpinestar

BTW check my avatar im rocking it woooooooo

Not if you mean compression of the spine lengthwise, like when you land a mx bike on flat from a huge jump or something like that,The icon armor I have has nothing to prevent your spine from compressing lengthwise,I think they are just good protection for fallin flat on your back or saving your spine from loopin a stoppie and having your bar come around and break your back.I wear mine everytime I practice, no matter how hot because I'm afraid that the one time I don't wear it,is the time I get fucked up.

10 x's cooler than a leather jacket, breathes awesome, even with a shirt over the top of it...

Re: Which spine protector?

there not just good for impact but sliding also.

ive seen alot of friends with some good rash on there back protectors that would of went to the skin if not worn,so even without impact, they work well
