You are not alone there m8. Mine does the same, was thinking of a trip to breakers to get another fan and mount and wire them in parallel.

They all run hot mine was running at 116 all day yesterday another fan will help a little, none of these bikes were ever designed to run high idle and no airflow thru the rad 636's seem to be worse than most prob due to the tiny water jacket around the barrels, don't worry about it getting hot these engines cope with it very well.

my max temps have been.........
my R6 maxes out in the upper 220's and sometimes gets as high as the low 230's. thats a street bike at stock idel after running iit pretty hard.

but the 636 in the lot is running a 3500 rpm in the lot and after a while of riding, its ushally sitting around 240 or so. fan is always on, its using engine ice, and its street fightered. but there has been a few time when i'm really getting on it for burn outs and stuff at pretty high rpm's and i notice my temp is even higher. at that point i park it in the shade and give it a break for a bit.

i'm thinking about adding some water wetter or just taking more breaks while i'm in the lot......idk

how long do you ushally ride in the lot at a high rpm before giving the bike a rest? and what is normal temp when running a higher idle like that?

240 is too hot and instead of shutting the bike off when it's hot you should cruise around in 6th gear and get some air across the radiator to cool it off before you shut it off

thanks for the tips bro.
i better make sure everything is reading right. it never seemed really hot of like it was overheating. until i recently installed a trail tech vapor gauge and now i'm seeing that its reading really high. i'm going to make sure its hooked up in the right location and that its properly programed.

what temp do you think i should be runnng at? i'm thinking 220's
