Re: 636 bogging at 8k RPM

i had the same prob with my 636, it's either the throttle body sensors or the fuel pump. my was fine till i hit 8-9k and then she would fall on her face. the fi light was on and it read the tb sensors was not opening the secondary valves, got luck and found a cheap one on ebay and it fixed it. then at 25k miles on it, it started doing it again got a new fuel pump 31k and running strong. hope that helps

Just dealt with the same problem last week, bike would not go into high RPM's and would just coke up at about 8000....Swapped the throttle boddies and it runs like a dream now

Re: 636 bogging at 8k RPM

are all the vacum hoses plugged in properly to the air box? Did you make sure the throttle boddies were seated all the way on the engine? Could be a bad ignition coil too.
