70 mph Crash......ouch
well i was riding to oakland and a d bag in a car was riding my ***. i go to pull over to let him go by and bam there he is in the next lane over. bike went down hard. just after rush hour traffic time so the freeway was packed with cars doing 65 plus mph. head hit first and thank gd for arai. the alpinestars footwear saved me although i was a little dissappointed in my new alpinestars mesh jacket which did not protect me all that well. i got road rash through the jacket. bike is unbelievable. still fixable. the 905 cage ripped off both sides along with the clip ons. bike flippin down the freeway while i am scrappin pavemenr praying a car doesnt run me over. thank gd and i get to live another day to see my son. pics to come. anyway be safe out there and wear your gear.

i hate it when cars do stupid **** like that.. same thing almost happened to me a few weeks ago. car beeped thank god. good to see your still alive

sucks about the crash
but did you say you side swiped a car? You said a guy was behind you, you went to change lanes, and then he was on the side of you, so you didn't see him switch lanes, and you switched lanes into him?

one more reason why.... when on a bike, your only friend is your throttle
accelerate to pass, change lanes, whatever
never ever change lanes at cruising speed or when decelerating
plus... and I hate to say it, but if you were in any lane except the right lane.. and a car was on your ***, thats your fault (assuming you moved to the right to let the car pass, cuz if you moved to the left, thats even worse)
anyways, glad your ok.
did you have the pads and back protector in the jacket?
