My pal the UPS dude just showed up with my fans,gonna get some header wrap and install em now,to bad we got some big thunder storms rollin through,might not be able to make whoolies till 2morrow.

water does not boil at 220 deg it boils at 212f or 100c.
and i dont like my bike over 210 which it only goes over when i do long burn outs or ill blow my tire but my frame will burn ur legs if you touch them lol

my 929 got up to 230 once when my fans stopped workin i pulled over and waited for about a hour not takin chances on blowing head gaskets

Here's the update:got the fans and header wrap on,even wrapped the collector and mid pipe,1 package of header wrap is enough to do your complete exhaust system for $50 plus hose clamps,I wired one of the r6 fans to a switch,and the other r6 fan is wired stock and bolts perfectly into the stock f4i fan housing so there are no mounting issues for at least one of em.Its still been really hot out and now instead of my bike runnin at close to 250 degrees it runs pretty steady at 210-220.also,the fan thats wired up to the switch is fucked up and not suckin air like the other one,when I fix it the bike will run even cooler,so if anybody has a extremely hot runnin bike I recommend doin this for sure.

yes your right,it helps keep the heat IN the header and not out,therefore keepin the motor cooler,thats why muscle cars put header wrap on their cars to lower under hood temps.
