so I have a racing 905 cage, the bottom most mount goes all the way though the engine with a nut, on the cage the right side has the nut welded into the cage so you just screw the bolt into the cage, it never lined up and spent 4 hours ptting it on so im not sure if over time (6 months) or the facyt that it didnt line up right but the nut stripped out and the bolt backed out of the nut in a crash today. I put a nut on the mount for now but the cagedoesnt sit right because the lower part isnt flush with the frame because of the nut i put on. my question is what is the best way to fix it. i dont really want to send it back and have them fix it. i was thinking about having a local shop cut the nut on the cage off and simply tack weld the cage to the nut i put on...what do you think?
