? about rollin on stock f4i front.

Ok been talking about this on the me clip thread in vid. section.

so im wondering on stock f4i front ends who is rollin ? and everything you should do to try and roll some good distance like 300 im not looking to go any further.
so what you use ? how you set up the compression, rebound ,preload and what ever.

this is what my front set is.
25psi pilot power
never touched any of the settings.

what nags said about fluid. 15w cartridge fluid

I hate f4i front end but I know someone that can roll more than 400 feet on f4i front end.

I suggest you to change fluids 15-20w and adjust it till you feel more rebounds and stiff. oh and depends what kind front tires you have.

I only run pilot powers front at 25 psi.

i remember someone saying to throw in 15w and just adjust the suspension settings..theres nothing wrong with f4i front ends..

the more air pressure the less friction against the ground, but at the same time there is less contact patch so you need to find that sweet spot between an *** load of pressure to roll distance and being able to not skid the front tire every time u ****** the brakes.


I've heard 30-35 for sweet tires. I personally have rolled really far on 18psi..so its all on what you feel comfortable.

On stock oil.. I ran my preload all the way in with just one line showing. Compression all the way in and 1/2 turn out. And rebound all the way OUT and 1/2 turn in.

And I 30lbs in the front

Yup thats the best tire on the market for endos and now you can work on oil to get better compression. like nags say turn 1/2 or more to get more rebound.

preload is the big nut thing at the top?

compression is the top screw?

rebound is the bottom screw by the calibers.?

Im pretty sure rebound is the top adj.,comp is lower adj., the 14mm nut basicly adjust the preload on the spring, so too tight will make the front kinda "springy"
I like 15w, with rebound set to H,comp set to M-L and preload set to the 3rd line

i was under the impression that preload on a conventional fork only adjust ride height and not actual spring tension.

i like 10w fluid, any more would be overkill. i use honda ss-10.

whats up? 1/4 turn out comp and reb set pre load at 25 mm sag with your skiny *** on it sould be like 2 lines showing depending on how shot out your fork springs are hit me up if you got any questions one of you guys got my #. that crash looked painfull

ok thanks ill mess with it soon .and ya it was fine the next day just a little pain then the 2nd day after i could barely walk.
