Re: Billet clutch perch/lever available SOON!!
On the list!
.......and an update for everyone.
My machinist IS a bit of a slacker........he IS, however, making progress. Looking at about 2 weeks from what he's saying, before the prototypeS will be ready. That's right......you read correctly. He is going to make a batch of 20 prototypes. So......everyone on the list will have a choice to either try one of the prototypes.....OR......wait for the final product. I will be posting a review of the prototype for all to read before you make your decisions.
Soon, guys......soon.
I know I CAN'T wait!!

Re: Billet clutch perch/lever available SOON!!
Good question!
Well.....he's going to be making them according to my specifications, so they SHOULD be damn near production pieces right off the bat. I'm hoping that we will only be changing them very slightly from the prototype run, if at all.
I think the best way for me to do it would be to try one out myself for a few sessions, post a good review on how I feel it turned out....then go from there. If it is good, but not GREAT......the price will reflect it. If its pretty much dialed from the get-go, and gets a GREAT review from me, then it will probably be "promo" price($65 w/ shorty lever).
I'll keep ya posted!

Re: Billet clutch perch/lever available SOON!!
Yeah.....thanks for the tips, Frankie. I'm not too worried about it. I'm trademarking the "R" that I use for the lever and the perch. I might just stick w/ that like you said. The patent process IS terrible. As you stated, all someones gotta do is change it slightly, and roll w/ it.
No matter what......they'll be available in July!

Re: Billet clutch perch/lever available SOON!!
Well.....honestly.....when I posted that I was doing the visual/artistic patent, I was still on the fence. I wasn't aware of the costs and reoccuring costs envolved. I have since decided to do my trademark "R" a little bigger on both perch and lever, and leave it at that. Just hope I build a name for myself before someone else tries to tap in. I'm not good w/ that kind of stuff......I just want the stunt community(and all other bike communities for that matter) to have a SOLID, well built easy pull style clutch that won't break when you sneeze on it!
