Re: Best Replacement Forks for an F4i

I've got the 929 front end on mine now. They are nice but for some reason fork seals blow to damn easy in the 929/954 forks. Got a buddy with some 1000rr forks and he hasn't complained cept only they r too short. If I ever find a deal on the RC51 front ill scoop that **** up. If you have the $ and want the best front end for your bike IMO that would be the one to go with

Re: Best Replacement Forks for an F4i

Just put thicker oil in yours Alie when you change seals, they'll feel a lot better.

Inverted front ends are just gonna blow seals more often, which isn't worth the hassle unless you're really rolling all the time.

I always wanted to try swapping a 900rr front end onto the f4i. The forks look a lot more sturdy, but aren't inverted and they are probably dirt cheap.

Re: Best Replacement Forks for an F4i

ive got a 954 frontend on the yellow bike and a rc51 on my new bike. couple people i ride with have 1000rr fronts and i know one guy who has a 06 600rr on his f4i.. hands down the rc51 is the best...they are the same length as the f4i forks and float like no other.. the 954 is great and i have no issues..my boy blows seals in the 1000rr all the time..(prolly from the height difference)

either way the f4i frontend isnt too bad..try the thicker oil first would be my 2cents....warm that tire up and wear something other than heels....lmao

i think i'll do that in the meantime, but if the seals don't hold up again...i would like to have another set of forks as backup in the garage.

wow, you've got serious front end education. i will start looking for rc51 frontends.

how much does a rc51 frontend usually cost?

lol alot

i got mine complete for 800...everything from clipons to the rim..u can use just about any 50mm frontend (most modern sportbikes) as long as u have the 929 or 954 triples..those triples bolt right up and most frontends just slide right in..ill send u pics of both my setups so u can see the differences..hit me up if u have questions...a i think HAVOK on here is selling 954 triples.. by the way..when r we ridin...road trip is calling my name
