Re: Help! which second fan on 600rr??
I had an 04 600rr. Mine would run from 220~237 in town or a lot,fan ran all the time. Never had a problem. Stock fan turns on at 221 and I'm not sure when it goes off mine never did unless I got on the interstate.

true..
so my buddy is coming over and were gonna try and mount this r6 fan i got on the front of the rad, then pull down the front end and see if it hits.. if it doesnt, i'll ride hard this weekend.. i ordered a high rev 1 inch thick computer fan to mount on the inside of the rad instead, if it works good ill let yall know the fan specs..

Re: Help! which second fan on 600rr??
Ive been running two fans for a while on my f4I. Although it doesnt look like theres room i bet you can put something on it. ZX fans are fast and small. I pop rivited 3 pieces of sheet metal through the (1) top and (2) bottom parts of the radiator bent them at 90 and then bolted the fan through those. Took about two hours. I also spliced into the original fan wires and just doubled the amperage of the fuse and it works like a charm.

Re: Help! which second fan on 600rr??
Hey Lex,
I think the problem with modern bikes is that they have less water in the coolingsystem to reduce weight. dito for the radiators, all about weight saving .... thats probably why it's so jumpy. My stock R1 on the road fluctuates between 60 and 105 deg.C with normal riding.
But high temps like 110 - 120 degc doesn't mean it's a problem right away.
and the higher the temperature, the better your efficiency of your radiator.
I shouldn't worry to much unless it's really excessive.
my 2 cents ....

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there's a company that makes slimmer fans
