i was going to try that, i'll see if it works tomm before i start connecting the wires. all they were was signal,headlight, and gauge. i beat all the money it's one ******* wire that loops around that fucked it up

yea see if it push starts if so, open the start swith and see what wires run to start switch. and trace them down make sure they are still connected. .

what year 636 is this? might be able to tell you what wires it is. just to make it easier

 

2004, if you look at the two wires on the top that are twisted together they start the pump

what wires on top. ur pic didn't upload. lol and the 2 u twisted together could be the kill switch. i had to do the same to mine. the wires got cut somehow but now my kill switch is a dummy switch. hahaha


the diagrams is kinda blurry but u start button looks like black and red both coming out the housing and then connect to black and red to red and black and red to black and red

 

Check the fuses while you are at it, those can look good and have a short. Google the schematic for the 636, if you get your hands on that it'll show what wire goes to what. It's all on one wiring harness so it's possible it needs a complete circuit. The best thing to do with hanging wires is find an out of the way place to zip tie them up.

 

i had to read that like 9 times thanks, i don't want to and know i don't have to connect the harness back up. like what you just said i know it's a few wires.

what about the tip over sensor you think that would have done anything if it's even up there

 

your tip sensor if i remember right shuts fuel down so u bike can't start. its like if you take a new bike and drop it on its side while running it shuts off. so if that was bad unless u have the fuel pump wired directly into the battery its not that.

 

i checked the fuses 700 times and i had the wires zip tied and on the motor, but it kept falling down and getting in my fan, so i said **** it i'm taking it off. now i wish i just put more zip ties on it

 

how many wires is that

some are solid with colored dots and other's have a colored strip down the side
