Crazy idea 6piston caliper

Re: Crazy idea 6piston caliper
I'm guessing a 6 piston caliper wouldn't fit on a rear rotor. The rear rotor is so much smaller in diameter than the front rotor that the 6 piston caliper is designed for, that I'm guessing the larger caliper would "overhang" the smaller rear rotor.
Just my best guess.
I believe the newer Buells even had 8 piston calipers on their parimeter brake systems, but I know that's a long *** caliper.

Re: Crazy idea 6piston caliper
so i read people putting a front rotor on real wheel for 4 piston dual hb conversions... i think it would be 'u'ber gangster if someone made a bracket for a 6piston on that too... STUPID TIGHT 1 FINGER LOCK HB!!!

Why would you even want to, are you trying to lock up the rear wheel?? You would have to modify twice as many pads, and get less redably available calipers which would cost more coin. I dont thing its a good idea
