03 636 leaking rad fluid....

On the right side of radiator the big hose under the rad cap, it seems like it is building pressure and the hose is swelling which causes it to leak out a little....any idea what could cause it?

The bike isn't overheating though, sometimes it leaks around 180 degree's sometimes around 215. Rad cap looks brand new, I ran it with rad cap off at first didn't see any air bubbles, put the cap on went for a 5 min ride or whatever I come back let it idle and it starts to leak out the top of the hose. Shut the bike off, after a minute or 2 the pressure goes down and it stops leakin.

The hose is clamped down tight, not sure what is causing it, I can go for a ride come back and its fine. Then next time I go out it leaks.

Re: 03 636 leaking rad fluid....

maybe a bad hose?

Try cutting the last 1/4" off the hose and putting it on further with the hose clamp in a different position?

thats what did tonight, I cut it where it was clamped before, moved it up and tighten it down on a fresh piece of hose. still leaked.

I had a friend with a gsxr 600 that had head problems and it created pressure in his line. Dont ask me how it done it. thats what the mechanic determined. I hope its not your problem good luck.

Are you sure there are no cracks anywhere?

yeah I don't think its anything like that, I just changed oil and its clear no rad fluid in it, I wouldn't be surprised tho this bike has been a nightmare.
