Gsxr damper mod on stock f4i frontend

2 - L brackets and drilled to fit.
1 - Spacer
1 - Broken upper to cut the end clamp off. lol

Its sweet but I think imma up the weight to 20? I want it a little stiffer. Doesnt get in the way of anything.

NICE! I've been needing to get in the garage and do mine...

It's gonna be harder to make a mount for mine though, as I run FF, so I'm going to have to put it by the gas tank like a ohlins

Thanks everybody I appreciate the compliments, I had a couple of other posts on here with some other ways to pull it off but they were way to ghetto. I have recently been laid off so I was sitting in the garage lookin down at a triple and it hit me!!!!

Ah so you took a junked tripple, cut it and stole the ring, genius. I think I have a broken tripple last year but I must have thrown it out. I don't care I will get a used tripple just for this I have been wanting a damper forever now. I wonder if this would work with a Shindy damper? They look similar to the Gixxer one.

you don't even have to junk a triple

you can attach it to the factory lower tripple, that's how I've seen other people do it, and until I looked at the pic again, I thought thats how he did it!

No thanks Ive done that before I just didnt want any mods to the existing triples, such as that bolt loosening, causing any damage to the fork tube.

If you torque your bolts properly they shouldn't come lose

The L bracket thats in the middle attached to the frame, you'd just have to angle downwards instead of upwards

HO-hey makes a setup you can buy to mount a gsxr damper on a f4i with a 929 front end, thats exactly how he did it

ahhhh ya that changes things

I don't think I can fit one in there FF easily, so I'm going to personally build a bracket and mount mine up by the gas tank..
Someone posted it up on stuntlife a setup like that a loong time ago.. But I lost the link

Re: Gsxr damper mod on stock f4i frontend

After seeing Talen's setup usiing a cut up triple clamp, got some ideas turning in my head...

I think it might be tight to do a side mount, and use a cut triple so it attaches where his attaches (between the triple) if that makes sense?

Then it would be completely out of the way

btw heres the thread
