Round 12 bar

Round 12 bar
since i just crushed the tail one my bike i want to throw a 12bar on. I want to fab it out of tubular chromoly, and make it contour with the shape of the tail, so it looks more like a grab bar.
My question is, how will the rounded shape effect the functionality of the 12bar?? Every other 12 bar i have seen is flat. Opinions please.

Re: Round 12 bar
its not flat therefore the bike will not roll idle on it .it will however save the back of your bike and let you go much farther back in o's etc. looks much cleaner and wont chop your head off when you flip a endo. thats my

Re: Round 12 bar
here is a pic of my friends bar he made. but alotta companies sell round bars.... i like his though cuz u can still do the normal flat plated 12 bar tricks but if you would flip a stoppie you dont have a 350lb meat cleaver comin at your head

Re: Round 12 bar
Honestly, round bars are WAY easier to drag
I've NEVER dragged my 12 bar more then 20 foot, and that was scary as ****.. Most the time it tosses me when I hit it, so I just tap and go...
Within 30 minutes of riding my friends bike with a round bar, I was throwing it back on the bar at 40mph and scraping for a block+ EASILY...
I started getting comfortable with it and was getting back into the throttle

+1 flat bars are very unforgiving and ****** suck to learn to scrape on unless your already controlled scraping tail, go round bar... i picked myself off the ground quite a few times when i had a flat bar... but your learning curve might be faster than mine.
