so my boy got this sick gsxr 600 '04 as a stuntbike. but it runs really weak on idle! even if you put it up to 4,500 you still have to gas it after you release the brake. i was having a hard time doing more than 2 staggered circles, wtf?? is it the motor or does the gsxr need a few mods? it has got the idle mod off course..

throttle bodies are sooooo delicate in the gixxers the wont take a hit at all and you have to replace the whole throttle bodies they dont sell them in parts ... 800 dollars dooooooo dooooooo

...my 05 does the same thing at idle, feels like it just chuggs....if u already got the clean air and the idle done... i dont know of anything else, i just got used to it but it does suck at idle

my friends gixxer was running like crap and turned out they put to much oil in it. and I mean WAY to much oil. Think the dealer double filled the damn thing hahaha

I have the same bike. its the trottle position sensor. if it is out of adjustment the slightest bit you wont have any low end power on idle. i had that problem and just changed the entire throttle body. fixed the issue. i also tried adjusting the tps to the proper setting and let me tell you that you are better off getting a new throttle body. hope this helps

so its my bike.. iddle is ****.. tps is adjustable, i now, but ive tried some different settings, and this is the best i (and hoegee tuning, the number 1 suzuki tuner in holland) can made of it, you talk about replacing the WHOLE trottle boddy? or replace only the TPS fore a new one?
and maybe its stupit, but i'm thinking to remove the second gasvalve from the trottle body? any experience with it?

stock.. and with a noisy exaust the problem is the same. only the trottle reaction is a little smoother with the stock one. iddle is the same both ways. any tips fore setting the tps?

and to tell it is a gixxer.. i now.. but this is a problem that must be fixable, there are riders here who rock them hard, seb5 is doing it also well on a gixxer.. i now it will never be a 636 or a f4i, you can buy a cheaterbike, or just practice harder, i keep on practicing till i can rock it hard.. but first i need to fix iddle.. this sucks

i had a similar problem and removed the entire lower butterfly flaps simply unscrewed the two screws on the plates in there left the rod going thru like that and it was a little twichy but the increased air flow helped it alot,,um and then i got a new set of throttle bodies to permanently fix the problem the main larger sensor is non adjustable and non removable from the entire unit

its a gsxr its twitchy it fees like its boggin then you blip it out....PPL who dont have one will talk **** but ppl who do have one will agree so take as you want but when i put a oil pickup in my bike it pulls way harder on idle........i have a 05 750......

Also what break pads if he is runnin ebc double h's that is the sole problem i promise

its not the twitchyness.. it s the fact it has no torque on idle whatsoever.. as soon as you think of the rearbrake the front end plummets down..

i got 4. gear itm set ur idle n ur done, twitchy yeah, but its a decnet bike, i got a 520 on my 04 gsx6r n a 2 brothers, feels good, a 56tooth n it'll feel great. the bikes arent for everyone, the k3's are great if u want arms like arnold. the 04+05 will make u a good all around rider cus u learn the different body to balance dynamics and that u cant gorilla scrape anymore, the 06+ well it wont make ur ***** drop sooner then later but it seperate the teenagers from the babies n u gotta baby a factory one cus of the pot metal used on the frame n weaker subframes. hit up son dooby for more advice he rode a 04/05 for a while before moving up and makes parts he'll give u tips on what needs reinforcement. if u run ff n can get it sent from the u.s., i found a guy on ebay $80 for a nice steel fairing stay

MIne was boggin down like that and it was my brake pads i was running the hotter they get the stickier they get unlike organic pads and when you catchidle and go to come off the brake its almost like its still draggin it down????? I just changed my pad to some organic ebc's and cleaned my calipers real good
