Machine f4i wheel for 929 frontend

I know you need to machine the bearing pocket to accept the 929 bearings, anyone know specs, buddies dad work at a machine shop and can do this but need to know specs and exactly what to do..Any info would be great Figure an f4i wheel would be eaiser to get my hands on than a 929 wheel

if u get ur hands on a f4i wheel this is a lot easier than machining the wheel and banging bearings out n ****

i can get a calipers on it and get u real specs....

my dad made this for me like 3 yers ago. i ran it for almost 2 years till i got the 1krr front end on the f4i

this is the stock f4i axle btw

That spacer just slides into the f4i wheel on the one side and its good??? What about the other side?

I think what hes doing is making the forks clamp to those "spacers" which then clamps onto the stock f4i axel...therefor using the stock f4i wheel and axel. May be wrong though, and i would have it machined...cleaner setup and i would be more comfortable riding a bike with machined wheel than getto wheel

Sorry for shitty grammar...kinda tired

I had my wheel machined to fit the RC51 bearings which are the same as 929. I Just took the bearings to the machinest and had him machine the wheel to press fit the bearing. You also need the spacers for the 929 axles. I had to take like 2mm off the center spacer so the bearings would press all the way in.

there isn't its for when you put a 929 or 954 front end on an f4i you don't have to buy the 929 or 954 rim but you still have to buy the rotors for a 929\954

Cool, yeah I have the whole 929 front (wheel and all now) and figured it may be eaiser to come across an f4i wheel rather than a 929 wheel so needed to know exactly what to have done...still depends on what wheel I find and how much

We've been doing that mod for years, the cost includes return shipping. For those that were wondering, if you have 929 or 954 front end it's a lot easier to find an F4/F4i wheel than it is to find the original.
