First Post

Hey guys,
I've got a 2008 cbr600rr. I've been riding for two years, and I'm interested in getting into stunting a little bit..
Just ordered a sprocket set for my bike its like -1 +10 or so.
What other mods would you suggest? Would I be okay with race rails, or do I need a crash cage?
And is a cbr600 a decent bike to do a few stunts on?

Any advice would be appreciated.

should i be learning on something that wouldn't be as jerky? I just hate having to do high speed wheelies on my stock setting, cause im not good at the clutch up yet.

as far as the minty 08 goes, i downed it in the twisties last season, so it's not so nice on the left side anymore anyways.

wait tell you can ride a steady wheelie at a steady speed.. Wait tell you can rock 1st gear at say 30mph, THEN re-gear

Yeah i don't do stuff like that on the highway, cause I don't like reckless tickets.
But I can't rock a wheelie at 30 mph, I'm having a hell of a time clutching it up. I can power wheelie most of the time but those won't lift up till like 35 mph.
What rpms should I be at to clutch it?

I know theres a search function, but i can't get it to work, i dont know if its blocked at work, or if its down right now

stop power wheelies immediately. just practice on clutching it up in 1st and 2nd. you can clutch it up at any speed/rpm, if you are going slower or have lower rpms you will need a more abrupt clutch up .... don't panic because you are never as high as it feels, if you think you are too high hit the rear brake.

Re: First Post

Word, good advice right thurr. Find a lot and roll to a complete stop and pop the clutch. Use 1 finger on the clutch. When i first started attempting to clutch up I would try using four fingers and that **** dont work. Roll to just about a dead stop with clutch pulled in and give it a lil gas and release clutch quickly. Do that until you find the spot you need to be at.
