Re: electric fan

You have to use a switch or else it will run as long as the battery is hooked up to the terminals

Re: electric fan

The fan always has 12v running to it

The fan is not grounded until it hits 230f, then the temp sensor sends ground..

Use a multimeter to check which wire going to the fan is ground and which is hot, then splice into the ground wire, and run a switch between a ground on the frame and the fan, then you can kick it on whenever.

No need to fuse, no need to run more then about a foot of wire.

you'll be fine

ONLY touch the wires that go directly into the fan.. If you hook them up wrong all you'll do is pop fuses

Also make sure to keep the stock temp sensor hooked up! Because you will one day forget to turn the fan on!

I tapped into the ground and the fan switch wires with individual wires one male and one female so I can leave them connected and fan will run all the time or disconnect and itll be like stock again... well thats the idea hah... also ghetto rigged my high beam back on with a male and female connector too...hah... i dont have the stock handlebar switch assembly on anymore...
