cutting a yoshi
cutting my brand new f4i yoshimura pipe up, so i find this thread https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/2-s...=yoshimura+cut about which end to cut it down and people are sayin two different things..ie one guy says "cut it at the midpipe end" and another says "do not".
which end do i cut it at?
also, i'm runnin a sick innov. bar that is even with the tail. what do you think a good length to cut off would be?

Re: cutting a yoshi
Cut it at the end cap side, it has a sleave at that end and that is where it is ment to come apart at. Only cut of as much as you need, no more, unless you like it really loud.

Do not cut it at the mid pipe side, that side is welded together and not ment to come apart at that end. Cut it at the end cap side, it has a sleave at that end and that is where it is ment to come apart at. Only cut of as much as you need, no more, unless you like it really loud.
its actually riveted on both ends.

Re: cutting a yoshi
thanks for the help!
the inside baffle tube ended up being tacked at both ends to sleeves, so i just cut it at the midpipe side and tacked the sleeve back onto the baffle tube on that side. its easier on the midpipe end because its just a small sleeve to work with. other than that just cut and rivet the can. hope you like.
four inches off total...18" to 14".

Re: cutting a yoshi
yeah, thats the way I did mine. works out good and isnt any louder than it was before I cut it. but I used screws to put it back together instead of rivets, goin on 4 years since I cut it and hasnt come apart.
