04 r6 ..to turn into stunt bike or not?
heres my 04 r6 that I've only had for like 2 1/2 months.. It's my first bike.. just learned to get it to BP by powering ( i know hate on me ) but for the past week been working on clutching it up to bp which seems a little scarier only because i don't want to go over and obviously don't have any stunt parts on it yet .. well i want to get into stunting but not sure if this is the bike for a beginner to learn on.. what do you guys think? i just know the r6's are pretty peppy bikes. and I have read where some people think they are harder to learn on, but when you do they are fun stunt bikes. heard the subframe is crappy as well
what should i do? turn it into the ultimate stunt bike? thought about going with a si cage. some C4 parts like round bar and eventually subcage probably when i break this one. what should i do about the sprocket? i don't want to lose too much top end because it's my everyday bike as well.. but want to have it somewhat set up for stunting or learning to. thankss

I had one as my last bike (in avatar)
Just like yours.
They are smooth bikes with a strong idle and plenty of power but yes they are a little peppy for a beginner.
I loved mine but be sure you have plenty of throttle control.
As for gearing I put a 13 tooth on the front and left stock on the rear. I was fine for me but this wasn't my beginer bike either.
Go with ATOWN Customs for your cage, subframe and upper stay if you want something to take abuse. He's got a subframe ready for this bike right now I think.
I've had them all and the R6 was my favorite so far.
One draw back is it's not a cheap bike to fix for some reason but there plenty of parts for it out there since it hasn't changed from 03-08 on the S model

Ive been in the process of rebuilding my 03 R6 and finally got it going... I have a 16 62 sprocket setup and its a bit much... They have power, and very torquey... I got the Atown Customs cage and its and can take abuse! But like anything practice makes perfect... Just gotta ride and be willing to work at it...

with a proper subframe (SI, or Atown) and an upper stay, theyre pretty strong bikes. im only +6 on gearing, and its all i need for HC o's, anything.

yeah not sure if i want to keep the front fairings on or not.. so not sure if ill need an upper stay. i mean i love the look of a ff bike but while im learning i would rather keep from destroying a front fairing and headlights which aren't cheap. and btw do you have any stunt parts left over? tank or extra fairings?

100% i love my r6 and anyone else who rides one will tell u the same. I was a bit scetched at first when all my boys were like "that thing is junk get a f4i" then i started stuntin it and love it. Awsome bike 3 teeth up cranks idle all day. Subframes wikll break though.

Subframe is defently weak.cracked mine in 3 weeks of stunting it.but it a good bike to learn on don't know why it would be a so called difficult bike to learn on.2cents

Re: 04 r6 ..to turn into stunt bike or not?
well i don't need a subframe until i break mine now. i don't see me sitting it on the 12 bar anytime soon. but interested in the cage..they look sick. just wondering what other cage they are comparable to, as far as how far they stick out? sleek like si or more like a powers? i guess? lol pm me with a price.
