Re: nut dropped in motor

that one nut could destroy the whole motor in one shot if it got in the right place .

yes it could possibly sit some where in the motor and do no harm at all but i wouldn't chance it

Re: nut dropped in motor

i wouldn't leave a NUT in there... something smaller maybe.

it's a pitbike, u can pull that motor apart in like 20mins.

try turning it upsidown first like OMR said

depending on where he dropped it in he may be able to get it out with a piece of wire or maybe a magnet

a little piece of dirt or metal is a big difference compaired to a nut or bolt falling into the engine. dirt will not destroy your engine like a nut would jr

Re: nut dropped in motor

Try and fish it out with a magnet. The potential damge isn't worth the risk of leaving it.

Re: nut dropped in motor

i had a peice of my gas tank lock assembly fall into my gas tank. Seemed stuck tank has a pet **** and dented so could shake it out. Thought for a while, then had a moment of brillance. So I chewed some gum put it on the end of a stick and got my flash light. A successful mission. Even got the broken key out of the lock.
But get that nut, magnet on a stick shake it how ever.

Best to just down a few beers and rip into it, take the bike apart and take the bolt out.

Just dont **** up and forget to take the bolt out, i did that...

an 8mm nut will have a hard time coming out when you drain your oil. By the time it gets there, the damage will be done.
