Re: spray bomb prep,,,
just degrease everything, hit it all with 600ish grit, clean with a wax and grease remover, and shoot it in 60-80 degree weather
You're a lot better off doing it with a paint gun though!
And since your doing flat black, I assume that means NO clear, which with spray paint, is a no-no IMO... It's gonna chip off and rub off fast as ****...
But do what you want, I can't hate, I've spray bombed my bike twice... But never again!

Re: spray bomb prep,,,
yeah krylon fusion looks good and if you let it cure the full 7 days is really ******* tough by far the best can paint I have used it will hold up really well to chipping but will still scratch, and leave rub marks fairly easily. If you can I would just prep everything and maybe see if mayco or one of those cheapie places would just spray it for 2-300 hundo, it will be alot more durable.

Re: spray bomb prep,,,
**** just thought of this also. you can get duplicolor engine enamel in flat black with different levels of gloss, and it lays on so ******* smooth and is super durable..bunch of people on car sites and I have personally used them on rims on a truck and is durable and you can touch it up and its super clean

Re: spray bomb prep,,,
just my 2 cents... but with fusion you can lay it on really thick and that **** does not run like other paint it has some type of glue so it is a little more forgiving.. even if it looks a little rough put it in the house when your thru a turn up the hear and it seems to just smooth out...its kinda wierd like that but i've used it alot and learned that spraying it on thicker then normal worked better. but yeah the engine enamel is gangster try a can with medium gloss I bet you will like it.

Re: spray bomb prep,,,
LoL Thanks....
LoL I love tearin it down and painting it... I do it even when not necessary..
You should paint a base green or yellow, Let it dry, then paint that chameleon on it, and while its still wet, take a 12 x 12 sheet of saran wrap, hold it on each side and and pat it against the whole piece that your painting... Remember do it while its still wet and you will get a marble chameleon look... and dont try to be nice and neat.. wrinkle the saran wrap all up then stretch it back out to get more marble effect... Just my
