gearin up

i wanna get some opinions before i stay or go up, my bike is -1/+2, before i left i was gettin bp pretty down pat, and i was workin on catchin idle, but when i did i was settin my idle up to about 4k, im sure this has got to be bad for my motor after a while, when i get back should i just keep practicin with that or should i get a bigger sprocket for the rear? anyone else do this in the beginning or will it be a waste for me? thanks

Re: gearin up

I am in the same boat. -1/+2 on my 929 rr. Do I really need to go bigger in te back? I got the BP also.

Re: gearin up

and alot of people run their idle at 4000 , just watch your temperature and having your fan wired so it's on all the time is a good idea ...

well i figure if youre gonna rock a geared bike then why learn twice , just start with a big gear so you don't have relearn how to ride your bike when you gear it up

definitely too big for the streets unless you only ride around on streets with speed limits around 45mph
