My buddy's got a 01 929 that we just put the motor back together and idles fine, but when he tries to go above about 5,000 rpms the bike bogs out and wont go past 5,000rpms. If you have any idea wat it is let me know thanks.

 

I've put an engine in one of those bikes too, there are 2 connectors right beside each other that have the same fitting on them, and it will allow you to plug them into the wrong spot, it can cause this problem, I cant remember what the connectors were or what they went to, I just remember that was the problem. its some sensors or some crap near the middle of the bike somewhere.
Also go over the HTEV calibration procedure, and make sure the exhaust HTEV valve is correctly adjusted and working.
