Ok so heres what i got goin on. I just put a new main harness in my 06 f4i. All the connectors are plugged in where they should be, grounds are hooked up right. Turns over but wont start. No spark... the fuel pump comes on the tip sensor is wired right, got plenty of fuel at the injectors and my kill switch turns the fuel pump on and off... I've been pulling my ****** hair out all night last night and all day today... i've taken the whole harness out and put it back in 3 times already. FI light comes on and i was getting a stator code before but now im not gettin that code anymore... all the fuses are good and the battery is too... ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS BEFORE I LIGHT THIS PEICE OF **** ON FIRE: banghead:shrug gs THANKS IN ADVANCE

 

are you sure your getting spark?

did you take your gas tank off ? , you may just have to prim your throttle bodys some more.
you could take off the fuel regulator to make sure its getting pressure.

make sure all your injector wires are good and not split.

It sounds like you've already checked a number of things I was gonna mention. One thing that comes to mind is the kick stand senor. Did you hook that up?

well do you get spark to any of the plugs ?

and are they fouled ?

 

kickstand sensor is normal... i didnt do anything to that... and the bike wouldnt turn over if that was the problem... im pretty ****** stumped the bike ran before i put the new harness in and now it dont

 

i believe that cuts the fuel pump and ignition....he said "fuel pump primes"

 

i got a spark tester on its way to my house now... but i checked it on the frame and i was gettin nothin... ill post up when i find out if i am or arent gettin spark... but im almost 100% sure that im not

 

check your ignition harness that plugs into the coils really carefully....(corrosion...ect) those things can be a pain, ive had probs before...

 

Check the coils had them go bad on my bike and check the injector wires

 

You got me stumped. If the bike ran before you changed the harness, why did you change it?

 

i had a broken wire... luckily i found it before it broke completly or i woulda died...

 

you can check spark manually then you will see if any coils are bad in the proses

 

man, are you ever goin to get that thing runnin?

 

just checked the spark with the spark tester... got VERY little... any ideas

 

maybe your battery doesn't have enough juice.

mite as well try hooking up jumper cables to your vehicle to see what happens.

 

U sure the ground is 100%
I had done the same thing (put an 06 harness on my 01)
I had a super frayed main ground. It goes from the motor to the 30 amp main fuse.
Soldier that up and it was cool.

Also check the llil white clip wit red wire. that plugs the stator to the harness. I had a bad connection there and similar issue came up.
Finally check the stator plug(big white plug wit 3 yellow wires. Mine started cookin after I put the new harness in and again gave me a headache.

check your ignition switch and the pink wire it has a safety resistor in it has to have like something weird like 7 volts to it and if it's above that it will crank and crank and fuel pump will prime but will not fire. it's a theft deal so no one can just hook up 12 volts to it. there is some threads on it in here if you search it. but i had the same deal and replace the whole harness to find out it was a 25$ ignition resistor from honda

 

if you need some race gas to burn faster let me kno lol cause this problem sounds like its pissing you off more then me thinking wtf it could be.

Fuel pump won't prime if the resitor is bad at least on my bike it didnt
