636 help

i have a 03-04 zx6rr i killed that motorso i got an 03-04 636 motor but i cant get it to run. its the same bike just a little bigger motor what must i do

pretty big question... whats it doing to not run? is it trying to start? or is nothing happening or what? be a lil more specific.

You cant just try to start it all of a sudden man. You have to rub it in its special place first. Gain its trust. It needs to know that you will take care of it.

it starts but its poopin and after 7 rpm it give no more speed .but when i put it in second gear it runs and sounds good unil 7 rpm. could it be the throttle body and air box

i believe you need to switch the wire harness and the ecu from a 636

i put in the 636 ecu everything else is 6rr the ecu plugged right in to the w/h

i think im kinda in ur same boat man. i had a zx6rr and i just recently built me a 636 and i took the powercommander and ignition module off the rr and put it on the 636 and it runs like **** now but dyno jet told me they will work fine.

different bikes, different maps, of course the powercommander and ingnition mod are not meshing with the motor. you need to have a custom map done or just erase the current map and download one off of the dynojet website. one for the 636 not the 6rr

ok well i dont know what map to put on it though thats the problem. I got a bmc race filter..velocity stacks...and a chopped oem exhaust. i aint sure what would be a good map for that. i know it will need a new map i aint that stupid haha.

what i really dont get is why my ignition module light will not turn green on me it always stays red..and i went to dynojet.com and looked at part numbers 4 the ignition module and they both match

go to a place that dynos bikes and its usually 200 bucks and they will build you a map

i just put a map from off there website and now the bike wont start..so i took the commander and ignition module off and just ran oem computer and it still wont start. cranks but no start.
