im tryin 2 find out if bike week is still going on this year. ive heard YES and ive heard NO. i heard this was tha last year and then its moving 2 DETROIT and ive heard they stopped it all in general. can sum1 fill me in and are there any upstate riderz riding down if its still on

i still heard myrtle beach. new bern is a shyt hole town in north carloina. basically to many marines to close for me. i'm a marine and still dont want to go anywhere near jacksonville lol. did 4 yrs there and not wanting to go back lol.

Are bike shop sets up every year in Daytona and what we were told is that the mayor dose not want it there anymore and "we don't need the money from that crowd" he quotes. but most likey it will be there for another year or two then on to myrtle beach. so who knows personally im sick of Daytona the cops there are f$%kin D-bags that ticket you for B.S. as far as movin to D town no F in way lol

funny they claim they lose business during the bike weeks when last time i tried going every hotel was booked within a 25 mile radius cant imagine that being the case if bike week wasn't going on. with the way the economy is that's a great idea to end something that brings in so much money.

there were signs posted all over daytona at bike week that siad "myrtle beach, not cancelled"

what is their to cancel?
can they tell the hotels not to rent their rooms?
can they barricade people from entering the state?
can they tell you you cant ride your bike on a public highway?
can they tell redline or any other venue that they cant open their store, and have people in their parking lots?
can they tell the nightclubs that there not allowed to let anyone in?

so really what is this talk about cancelling? Explain how exactly thats gonna work? last i checked this was still a free country!

Ordinances for Noise, Motorcycles, Alcohol Consumption, Property Management, Curfew and Accommodations
No loud mufflers. No straight pipes. No revving of engines or excessive noise.
Everyone on a motorcycle must wear a safety helmet and protective eyewear (glasses, goggles, face shield, etc.) at all times while the cycle is moving.
No more than two motorcycles allowed in a public parking space.
Curfew is in effect from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. for juveniles under age 18, with certain exceptions. Violators are detained and parents are called.
No alcohol sales allowed after 2:00 a.m., unless the bar applies for and receives exemption.
No alcohol consumption or open container possession allowed in parking lots and garages of any business.
It is a crime not to pay the restaurant or not to leave your name and address if you dispute the bill, service or food.
No loitering allowed in posted parking lots of any business. No loitering allowed after hours in parking lots once the business is closed. Store parking is for customers, not parties.
No use of parking lots or landscaped areas of any business next to road or street for chairs, coolers, parties, drinking or food service.
Security standards are required for gas stations, convenience stores and stores with drive through service. No gathering or loitering is allowed in parking areas without contemporaneous commercial activity. Parking lots are for customers, not parties.
Parties responsible for permitted or unpermitted special events that require an extraordinary public response may be held financially responsible for the cost of that response.
No parking or storage of trailers and oversize vehicles is allowed on the street; parking for these vehicles is allowed only in approved parking or storage lots.
Photo identification required for hotel check-in; minors (under 18) cannot check in without parent or legal guardian present. All guests in a room must be identified. Parking hang tags required for all guest vehicles.

Memorial day weekend has been Ruff Ryders Corporate annual for over ten years now. We started going to Myrtle Beach to promote the motorcycle affiliation with Ruff Ryders Ent to the urban biker. One thing few may know is we've always slipped off to Miami to close out our annual. In some cases we've even skipped Myrtle Beach all together in the past and just head to Miami.

Myrtle Beach Bike week is NOT cancelled. The Mayor and a small group of people are trying to get rid of it but cannot keep people from coming. This small group is good at spreading thier attempt to stop bike week, so I hope the biker community wises up and still comes. The mayor is up for re-election this november so hopefully this will all be over then. BIKE WEEK IS STILL ON and anybody that s comin or wants a hotel room can hit me up, I work for 3 hotels outside the city limit and am working on a special rate for stunters. Myrtle beach bike week isnt cancelled.. Check todays myrtle beach sun news online. The bike fest is still on.. The City of Myrtle has put in place a helmet law requiring you to wear a helmet in the city limits. Come one come all.. if you need a hotel room, let me know via a PM.
