05-06 636 front end question

my buddy is tryin to swap the 05-06 front-end onto his 04 636. he is trying to use the 05-06 tripple and clip-ons and he says the stem through the frame does not appear long enough to thread the mainstem nut on. anybody know if there is a trick to this?

i kept and flipped my 03-04 tripple and clip-ons when i swapped to the 05-06 forks/fender/rotors and i had zero problems but he doesnt want to do that. he wants to use the 05-06 tripple and clip-ons not flipped.

thanks in advance

Re: 05-06 636 front end question

the swap should work the only difference i know of is the diameter of the stem itself is smaller than the 03 04

it should be the same

Re: 05-06 636 front end question

use the 03 04 tripple ....

if he doesnt have one then maybe he could take the top spanner off to make a little more room for the shorter stem ...

Re: 05-06 636 front end question

the stem is shorter i know if you use a zx10r front end lower tree you have to change the stem out it might be the same for the 636 05/06
