Homemade 12 bar, what do you think?

So i built myself a 12 bar and just wondering what you think? I want to go test it out, but i need a welder to cut down the stock exhaust first. The ends on the bar work nicely when the bike is tipped over, make contact with the ground before the tail or pass pegs do.
Let me know what you think, good or bad.

looks like it sticks out a bit far, but that could just be the angle of the picture.

Its almost level with the tip of the tail. it might stick out alittle far, but i wanted to keep the rear fairing whole, i like the look better but if it doesnt work out ill have to cut it down

Looks decent for home made... but it doesnt matter how it looks... its how functional it is.. i mean the reason 99% of 12 bars look the same is because that has been the best working design... get what im sayin?

+1, when your bike hits the sides of the bar they will buckle and become shaved and sharp as razors.

Re: Homemade 12 bar, what do you think?

i like the inside supports you should of used solid round bar or if you could not come across that use solid re bar.they have it at any local hardware store. after you scrape that thing it will wear through in no time. + your gona hate how far it sticks out the bike will not sit at 12 like that but if your not doing bar tricks it dont matter. One thing i would defanatly do is cut the ends off that bar if you fall off the bike and it catches you pants it will drag you across the parking lot and leave a nice cut or bruse. Trust me i no LOL

Yeah, you don't want anything sticking out on the sides. Let that catch your sack and see what happens.

Re: Homemade 12 bar, what do you think?

not bad..should have used like 1/4 flat stock for the legs instead angle... might buckle if you hit it hard...
