Help!!!! My bike wont start.....

Ok so i bought a bike a few weeks back and it was missing some engine bolts/mounts etc. Well the night i got it i stripped it down completely and now i have itback together and i can't get them damn thing to start. It turns over it just wont fire. I just pulled the plugs and they seem fine. Might jut go ahead and replace them and im going to check the coil. But if anyone has any advice or help in anyway i would be much apprectitive. I jonesin over here. Oh yeah itsa 600rr.

Re: Help!!!! My bike wont start.....

take a plug out and keep it connected to the coil. turn it over and see if it sparks.

Re: Help!!!! My bike wont start.....

also make sure you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the ignition on.
i would also drain the gas and put new fuel in it too. you have no idea how old the gas was thats in it..

you test it like a battery. Put your tongue on the end and try and start your bike, if it tingles your tongue you got spark.

any plug that goes in ur bike...what you do is take the coil out, plug a spark plug in it,and ground the threaded part of the spark plug on the frame somewhere, then you try to start it,if you get spark they are good..move on to fuel..

maybe you didn't hook something up right when you put it back together. make sure everything is connected right. Are the gauges on the bike? Not sure where the tip over sensor is on 600RR's but on 1000RR's they are on the gauges/upper/ somewhere and wont start unless they are in place...

did you hold it up to something metal? like the frame or a screw driver? you need to have the end of the plug touching something metal.
