Exhaust: Loud or Quiet

So, I was workin on I95 in Melbourne, FL. Driving my milling machine that cuts asphault. Two kids flew by one on a cbr600rr and the other on a Gsx600r both must have had shorty pipes or were in 1st gear lol... Ive always liked my exhaust to be as quiet as possible (To lower risk of cops hearing me) lol but recently chopped my two brothers carbon fiber in half cause i was scraping it, and now im kinda diggin the louder pipe... So heres my question, whats everybodies preference loud or quiet?? No **** talking, just what you like and why you like it... ready go!! lol

i have a quiet exhaust because i hate getting kicked out of the spot but i would like a louder one if i didn't have to worry about loosing spots

+1

I used to have a cbr600rr with a stock pipe, and i always wanted it to be louder cause it sounded quite gay compared to my mates bikes, but then i got my 450 with a shorty pipe on it and i realised that it sucked, cops came to my stunt spot (which never happened with my 600rr) and it kinda gave me a headache cause i dont wear ear plugs (thunder like sound the big singles make) so i say keep it quiet

Re: Exhaust: Loud or Quiet

I like the deep sound my exhaust gives. (scorpion). Not a fan of loud and not a fan of quiet.

Re: Exhaust: Loud or Quiet

I recently got rid of my HR1 because it was too loud and didn't have enough back pressure (or so I've been told) ans went back to stock on my lot bike. I'm glad I did. on my streetbike though, I have a Leo full system. I love it. It is quiet until you get into it. SO if I am puttering around town in traffic, no headache. But if I'm screaming through 3rd, you know I'm coming.
