Re: Exhaust: Loud or Quiet
I like to keep mine as quiet as possible
I welded a couple pieces of steel in my pipe with 1/2" holes in the middle of it
Quited it up a GOOD deal! Compared to my old shorty at least.. It's no stock muffler but it has a good sound and isn't overly loud
Also I packed my muffler FULL of fiberglass packing, solid I could get it, was shoving it in with a screw driver

Re: Exhaust: Loud or Quiet
I like it quiet at the lot and quiet on the street. It draws less attention to the lot and helps keep me out of trouble on the street. I behave on the street 95% of the time, but I want all
the help I can get for the other 5%. If I want to be heard, that's what air horns are for! My ZX14 is quiet, but my VTX1800 is loud. They both came that way. It's much easier listening to music or talking on the chatterbox on the ZX14!

louder is deff better if you ride streets because the people in cars with their head up their *** can hear you and it sounds great when u go under a bridge or thru a tunnel

my bike was loud *** hell when i bought it. plan on keeping it that way cuz i love it. basically headers and the catalytic conv was cut off and a shorty can was mounted on under the right peg.
