What gearing on an 07 gsxr 750?
I just sold my 01 gsxr 600 with -1 +3 gearing and I liked it. The highway rpm was boaderline doable. I just bought a 2007 750 gsxr and it needs to be geared. What gearing do you guys suggest? I want to wheelie on the highway, but would also like to start learning slow parking lot speeds. The stock gearing on the 600 was 16 45 and the stock gearing on the 750 is 17 45. i did a search and came up with alot of mixed reviews.
Thanks

Re: What gearing on an 07 gsxr 750?
i was -1 +9 on my 750 and the rpm's were 9k at around 80 mph.
side note - a gix 750 is a pile of **** to parking lot stunt especially those new junkers. not that it cant be done but youre certainly picking from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to bikes to stunt. if youre just blasting the highways then theres no need to gear a bike at all. gearing doesnt do anything magical for your bike. just eases some strain on the clutch when yanking it up from a dead stop and will provide a bit better pull from your idle. so if youre really serious about stuntriding i would just get a **** bike for the lots to learn on and leave your street bike minty or something. just bad idea to stunt an 07 750, youll be lucky if that frame doesnt snap in half on you just from highway wheelies.

Re: What gearing on an 07 gsxr 750?
That bike will wheelie very easy in the first 2 gears stock......
If you want to gear it I'd say no more than +5 in the rear would be plenty and still give you decent ridablilty on the highway.....
If you want to learn slow wheelies refer back to sdfkillz post...... Wrong bike.....you will more than likely crack the subrame the 1st time you scrap it, seeing as it and the frame are made of paper......
It would be a shame to see another minty streetkiller be turned into a pile of parts........
